Bringing fringe voices into the knowledge economy

Fair Knowledge

Home Page

We know the world is a much better place when the mainstream knowledge economy embraces the voices at the fringe. Those on the margins of society are by definition, extraordinary. They are resourceful, innovative and full of the discordant ideas that are required to help us shift our societal and institutional cultures to make the world a better and fairer place.

We work on both supply and demand sides to catalyse this change and support the participation of fringe voices in the mainstream. We also create markets to spark and promote cross-fertilisation of ideas and disciplines, principally through our Cineforum format.

Knowledge is fair when everyone has the opportunity to create, disseminate and apply it. This in turn produces societies that are healthy, secure and happy. Most importantly, fair knowledge allows us all to celebrate difference and value the innate being and becoming of every different person.
